For those of you who are passionate about all things Star Wars, you'll understand the uncontrolled eagerness for the franchise.

Star Wars has a unique relationship with video games, offering a mixed bag of experiences (some exceptional and some that are best forgotten—yes, we’re talking about the Han Solo dancing game).

This game seamlessly merged action-role-playing game combat with the rich tapestry of Star Wars lore.

However, if there is a need to pinpoint a single drawback, it would be how the lightsaber's impact felt somewhat cartoonish when striking human opponents.

While it was satisfying against droids and other non-human adversaries, the game seemed to shy away from the idea of allowing you to slice through human enemies.

The exciting news is that Cal Kestis appears to have honed his lightsaber skills for the upcoming game, showcasing a newfound level of aggression.

With the introduction of various combat stances, wielding your Cal Kestis lightsaber blade will now possess more dynamism and flair.

Cal Kestis – A Fictional Star Wars Character

Cal Kestis, a Force-sensitive human, once trained as a Warrior under the Galactic Empire's watchful eye.

His journey began as the pupil of Jedi Master Jaro Tapal before the Empire's rise to power.

Tragically, Cal was still a Padawan when Order 66, the directive to eliminate the Jedi, was executed.

He witnessed firsthand how the Clone Troopers betrayed his Master and the entire Jedi Council.

These events occurred during the Clone Wars, a prolonged conflict that marked the twilight years of the "Old Republic."

Little did he know that these battles were merely a prelude to the emergence of the tyrannical Galactic Empire, orchestrated by a complex Sith plot.

In the aftermath of Order 66, Cal Kestis sought refuge on the desolate planet Bracca, where he remained in hiding.

Only when the loss of his companion, Prauf, pushed him to take action did his life take a new turn.

Cal Kestis embarked on a journey across the galaxy with Greez and Cere Junda, a revered Jedi Master.

Despite being pursued by the Empire's relentless Jedi assassins, Kestis was determined to revive the Jedi Order and rediscover his connection to the Force.

For a time, Kestis remained in seclusion on Bracca, working as a weaver for the Scrapper Guild after his Master's demise.

However, his peaceful existence was shattered when he crossed paths with the Empire's Inquisitors, specifically the Second and Ninth Sisters.

It was only through a timely rescue by the starship Stinger Mantis that Kestis found a new purpose.

He chose to join the ship's crew, forging bonds with BD-1, a trusty droid companion, the former Jedi Cere Junda, the ship's captain Greez Dritus, and the Nightsister Merrin during their voyage.

Saber Stances

Cal Kestis’s new lightsaber techniques revolve around the type of saber he wields, granting players greater flexibility to switch between styles.

Here's a breakdown of these exciting saber stances:

Single-Bladed Stance:

It is the most balanced style, following the traditional approach favored by many Jedi in the Star Wars universe.

Dual-Bladed Stance:

Cal unleashes his full potential by wielding two lightsabers simultaneously, turning him into a formidable force on the battlefield.

You can replicate this experience by wielding a pair of your own sabers—you need to go through a selection to find your perfect match.

Expect a flurry of reckless attacks, the ability to cancel animations, and access to a multitude of combos, though this comes at the risk of taking more damage.

Double-Bladed Stance:

This stance is a dream come true for fans of Darth Maul and his iconic double-bladed Artsabers Neopixel lightsabers. It focuses on zone control in the game.

In the game, this stance sacrifices speed, but we believe you shouldn't have to compromise on speed or design choices.

That's why you can combine two of your favorite saber designs to create your very own saber staff.

Crossguard Stance:

Cal wields a crossguard saber akin to Kylo Ren's, emphasizing heavy attacks that deal substantial damage.

If you're a fan of old-school medieval knights and Star Wars, this might be your ideal stance.

Blaster Stance:

Cal masterfully wields his lightsaber alongside a blaster in this stance, holding one in each hand. This combination maximizes damage output and versatility.

While it may have been unconventional for a Jedi to use a blaster in the past, Cal's unconventional approach makes it work seamlessly.

These varied stances offer players a plethora of combat options and strategic choices.
