Stüssy is an American streetwear brand founded in the early 1980s by Shawn Stussy, a surfboard shaper from Laguna Beach, California. Shawn began by handcrafting surfboards and marking them with his distinctive signature, a design inspired by his uncle, artist Jan Stussy. This unique logo quickly gained recognition and was soon applied to apparel items such as T-shirts, shorts, and caps, which he sold locally.
