Samarkand State Medical University
Samarkand State Medical University (SSMU), established in 1930, is one of the oldest and most prestigious government medical universities in Uzbekistan. Located in the historic city of Samarkand, the university is recognized by major medical councils such as the National Medical Commission (NMC) of India, WHO, and FAIMER. It offers a 6-year MBBS program, which includes a 1-year internship, and is taught in English for international students, especially Indian NEET-qualified candidates.
