The Annapurna Circuit Trek was the longest walk I’ve ever done. And it was the best.
I had never hiked this far before. But I wanted to try something big. I read that the Annapurna Circuit is one of the best treks in the world. Now I know why.
What Makes It Special
This trek is in Nepal. It takes about 12 to 20 days to finish. You walk around 160 to 230 kilometers (100 to 145 miles), depending on your route.
That sounds like a lot and it is! But the views, the people, and the peace make it worth every step.
What I Saw
I walked through green hills, quiet forests, and rocky paths. I crossed hanging bridges and small rivers. Every day looked different.
One day, I was walking in the sun. The next day, I was in snow.
I saw Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, and other huge mountains. These are over 8,000 meters high. It felt like I was in a dream.
The Hardest Part
The hardest part was the Thorong La Pass. It is the highest point on the trek, at 5,416 meters (17,769 feet). I was out of breath after a few steps. It was cold and windy. But I kept going.
When I reached the top, I felt so proud. I did it.
The People
Along the way, I met kind locals and happy trekkers from all over the world. Everyone smiled. Everyone helped.
At night, I stayed in small tea houses. The food was warm. The beds were simple. But the heart was big.
Why You Should Try It
If you like walking, mountains, or just trying something new, do the Annapurna Circuit Trek. You don’t need to be super fit. You just need to keep walking.
This trek taught me to slow down, enjoy the view, and be proud of small wins.
Final Words The Annapurna Circuit Trek is not just a hike. It’s a journey that changes you. I went to walk around a mountain. I came back with a stronger heart.
