Moissanite diamond, often referred to simply as moissanite, are gemstones composed of silicon carbide (SiC). They are named after the scientist who discovered them, Dr. Henri Moissan, in 1893. Initially found in meteorite fragments, moissanite crystals are now synthesized in laboratories to create stunning gemstones that mimic the brilliance and sparkle of traditional diamonds.
